Make a Claim

 

How To Make A Claim

You must promptly inform us of any claim as soon as possible. This will enable us to action the claim as
quickly as possible, to minimise any chances of unnecessary delays, or further damage occurring. Full details
of what has happened, any anyone else involved should be collected at the time, and passed on to us.
All claims (with the exception of Workers Compensation or work Cover claims) should be notified to
Austbrokers Phillips/ACS as soon as possible.
Workers Compensation or Work over claims should be reported directly to you Work Cover Agent or ACS.
Once we have been notified by you of the loss or incident we will then arrange with you for the claim to be
reported to your insurer and where appropriate, for loss assessors and repairers to be appointed to assist in
the management of your claim.

Motor Vehicle

  1. Make sure you get all details of all vehicles and drivers involved.
  2. General claims information that will be required.
  3. Complete online e-claim form (hyperkink to generic claim form) and general claims information required:
  4. Your name, address and contact phone numbers
  5. The registration, make, year and model of your vehicle
  6. Details of who was driving the vehicle or responsible for it at the time of the accident.
  7. Details of any other person or vehicle involved, including name, address, contact phone numbers and registration number.
  8. A brief description of the accident or theft, and the damage to your vehicle.
  9. We will arrange for an assessment of your claim.

Home & Contents

  1. Make sure that the premises are safe and secure.

  3. For burglary claims, contact the police to report the incident, make a list of all items which have been stolen or damaged by the intruders. For emergency repairs to premises, contact repairer on the emergency number (hyperlink to page) page to arrange repairs.

    • The address of the property on which you are making the claim.
    • A description of the incident (eg. fire, theft, burglary, storm).

Liability Claims

  1. It is of critical importance to record as much detail about the incident, any persons involved, and any witnesses, as soon as it is notified to you.
  2. Do not make any admissions of liability, but be helpful and compassionate to the injured person.
